Takashi Iitsuka, a puppet film director, has been attending the “TURN Exchange Program” at the Ota Ward Comprehensive Support Center for Persons with Disabilities (Sapporo Pia) since FY 2018. Every Friday night, “Tamariba,” a place for company workers to refresh themselves, has been held at “Saportopia,” but due to the new coronavirus infection, “Tamariba” activities will be suspended from FY2020.
As a form of exchange that can be done remotely, Mr. Iizuka started the video “The World of Majimura Nyanbebeh,” which is now available to the public. When visitors to “Sapporo Pia” or “Tamariba” send letters to the character “Majimura-nyanbehe,” they receive reactions from “Majimura-nyanbehe” in the form of animated images.
What should I bring to a deserted island? Which is more important, love or money? Are there aliens? Are there any aliens? and other questions that anyone can enjoy thinking about, and “Majimura Yanbeh” will comment on the answers from his own unique perspective.
During the online program, anyone, not only facility users, could participate by sending comments to “Majimura Yanbehe” (the call for comments has already closed). We are proposing a new form of interaction at the Corona Disaster through video.
